The Training Program
Canopex provides each franchisee with a complete four-day training program at our headquarters in Aiken, South Carolina. Classroom training begins with a historical overview of canopy history, design, and construction. The training progresses to a photographic review of typical problems that are encountered with canopies and the corresponding repair options that are employed to correct these deficiencies.
After providing a good understanding of canopy design, typical deficiencies, and repair techniques, the patent-pending Canopex inspection procedures are thoroughly reviewed. Hands-on training with the inspection equipment follows these instructional sessions, to develop familiarity with all of the inspection tools. On-site training is then conducted with a simulated inspection site, thus insuring proper retention of these aspects. Franchisee inspection techniques are observed and critiqued to reinforce proper application of the equipment and proper data collection.
The Canopex franchise model employs an on-line reporting center to assist the franchisees in preparing written documents for their customers. The data entry and reporting procedures are demonstrated, and the franchisees are provided an opportunity to practice the procedures with their own computer, which is provided as part of the franchise package.
The final aspects of training deal with our marketing program, our specialized sales techniques, and our franchise-specific business management strategies. This combination of technical and business training guarantees that franchisees will be properly prepared to service their customers and manage their new business.
